Dive In!

srox - THis is a great book about saving money. its actually a series and i i'm reading the first book and I am going to start the second one. So if you like the pool, and like the GIRLS you'll enjoy this. its about a teenage girl who has to do baby-sitting and dog-sitting to earn money to join the Riverside Swimming Club (RSC). When going to the pool with her friend Jaci as a guest, She meets the hottest competitive swimmer. Mike. Her frenemy, Christina, who is not really being that "friend". She's on the popular side and is TOTES Jealous that she has met THE Mike. When Christina "invites" Grace and her friend Mel, she sees Mike. And when he greets Grace. (Main Character) she totally flips. she's too jealous. SO far I really liked it. Please follow me to check out the next review to find out what happens in the end. Tell your friends to follow me too! Gr 5-7-As seventh grade draws to a close, Grace Davis's grade school friend Christina Cooper is hanging out with the cool crowd and leaving her behind. Her other bestie, Mel Levi, is going to be gone all summer. New friend Jaci has invited her to join the Riverside Swim Club, but her parents are making her earn the $200 membership fee. In the meantime, Grace is faced with cheating, caring for a sick dog, and snide comments at school. Dive In! is a story about peer pressure, the need to fit in, learning to stand up for oneself, and the desire to be cool. Although the secondary characters are a little flat and sometimes unrealistic, Grace makes true-to-life decisions and is a likable protagonist. Tween girls will enjoy the setting and the non-preachy tone, as well as the ultra-cute boys.-Terry Ann Lawler, Phoenix Public Library, AZ
