Healing Stones

An angry teenager, a depressed firefighter, an anguished mother--these are only of few of the characters brought vividly to life through Pam Turlow's extraordinary skills as a narrator. An audiobook with so many characters and plot lines could be a challenge to the listener, but Turlow's distinct character voices make the story easy to follow. When college professor Demi Costanas is caught in an adulterous affair, it almost destroys her career, her family, and even her own sense of self. Although the novel is filled with dramatic incidents, the truly compelling parts of this story are Demi's sessions with Christian psychologist Sullivan Crisp, during which he helps her accept her own brokenness and the healing power of God's grace.
