Although Garth Vale, a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy SEALs, is still recovering from an ambush in Afghanistan that nearly took his life, he desperately wants to get back into the action. He goes undercover, working on a North Carolina airstrip, and finds a package concealing a baby aboard a plane. Not willing to notify the authorities, he seeks a local doctor. Bronwyn Whitescarver has just moved to the very small town of Sessoms Corner. She met Garth at her best friends wedding but doesnt immediately recognize him when he brings the infant to her. She realizes something is wrong with the scenario he concocts to keep his mission and the babys origins a secret.
