The eighth edition of this popular ALA book arranges updated funder profiles alphabetically, with each summary including grantor descriptions and information on types of grants awarded, grant values, past recipients, requirements and restrictions, application procedures, contact information, and website address when applicable. This easy-to-use resource also includes four indexes, enabling users to find the best grantor fit by total grant value, grantor's state, named grant, or library organization grantor. VERDICT For libraries new to the grant process, this is best paired with a how-to book such as Pamela H. MacKellar and Stephanie K. Gerding's Winning Grants: A How-To-Do-It Manual for Librarians with Multimedia Tutorials and Grant Development Tools and/or the many free tutorials and resources at the Foundation Center (www.foundationcenter.org). This well-organized volume will be a useful tool both for library patrons and for the library's own grants team--so buy one for circulation and one for office use! Highly recommended.--Jane Hebert, Mount Juliet, TN
