This new entry in Libraries Unlimited's Real Stories series is another must-have for readers' advisors. The 500-plus entries are divided into seven chapters Sense of Place, Quests, Journey, Getting There Is Half the Fun, Expatriate Life, Travel Humor, and Travel Adventure. Each chapter is divided into subgenres, and each offers a definition of the genre and outstanding discussions of its appeal. There are 1025 listings in each subgenre, with each having bibliographic information; an annotation of what the book is about and its appeal factors; and brief lists of subject, category, place, and series headings. A Now Try paragraph suggests similar nonfiction and fiction books as read-alikes for patrons. Each chapter has a section on classics and ends with lists of books for readers to consider starting with, Fiction Read-Alikes, notes, and footnotes.
