In this wonderful anthology of Christmas love stories, Michaels's "Candy Canes and Cupid" offers up a tale of matchmaking at a Colorado ski resort that brings together private investigator Hannah and computer security expert Liam to find a thief and maybe love in the process. In Nancy Bush's "White Hot Christmas," PI Jane Kelly returns with her mentor and boss, Dwayne Durbin, as Jane deals with some crazy clients and fights her ongoing attraction to Dwayne. "Seven Days of Christmas" by Rosanna Chiofalo transports readers to beautiful Austria, where Bianca experiences the joy and heartache of love and second chances. And "A Smoky Mountain Christmas" by Lin Stepp sees Veda Trent return home to Tennessee to face the loss of her business and aunt; however, this may be the Christmas she finally finds love and acceptance in her small community. VERDICT A standout collection of yuletide romances.
