This sweet lesbian romance from Beers (Flavor of the Month) pairs a wedding planner who dreads the thought of marriage with a divorce attorney who longs to settle down. Two years after Teddi Baker lost half of her wedding planning business in a messy divorce, she’s still working to rebuild. When Teddi’s newest client, Kelly Scott, brings her sister, Leah, along on their consultation, Leah and Teddi can’t keep their eyes off each other—until Teddi realizes that the reason Leah’s name is so familiar is because Leah was the ruthless lawyer who represented Teddi’s ex in the divorce. As they work together to make Kelly’s wedding perfect, Teddi and Leah can’t ignore their growing attraction and embark on a tender romance—but hopeless romantic Leah longs for commitment, and Teddi doesn’t know whether she’ll ever be willing to get married again. Though the stakes are low and the plot predictable, the characters are well-rounded and their chemistry is palpable. What this uplifting romance lacks in conflict it makes up for in powerful emotion.
