The Girl who Lived Twice

Narrator Simon Vance delivers the sixth Lisbeth Salander story, which began with THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO. Salander has disappeared, leaving journalist Mikael Blomkvist to track her down. He desperately needs her help with another far-reaching conspiracy. Vance's stellar narration imbues the story with an engaging cadence and precise vocal inflection. A staggering number of characters is given unique voices, an impressive feat, considering how varied and dynamic the cast is. However, the convoluted plot, which doesn't focus on Salander, makes for rough going. Nonetheless, scenes buzz with intensity, and Vance masterfully layers in tension throughout.
