Primal

PRIMAL focuses on the separation of Christianity today from its primal roots. Mark Batterson believes that we need to celebrate God's goodness without being distracted by the trappings of modern life. The author narrates the text, but his voice is not persuasive in communicating his beliefs. For one thing, he reads too slowly, as if to prevent even one word from being missed. The result is stilted, and listeners will have a difficult time connecting to it, both emotionally and spiritually. While Batterson's style can work in person, it's not a good choice for Christian inspirational audio.
