Fraternal twins Katie and Hannah Beiler couldn't be more different. Hannah is extroverted, and Katie prefers to be by herself sketching. When Hannah moves to New York City prior to the sisters' baptism in their Amish church, Katie is devastated. Offered an opportunity to visit Hannah, Katie jumps at the chance but finds the city as strange as being on the moon. But Hannah is determined that her sister love the city and brings Katie's drawings to an art gallery where they are well received. With the possibility of a new life in New York, Katie returns to her Amish community in Pennsylvania, where she must decide what is most important to her. Bradford ("Amish Mysteries" series) explores the challenges facing members of the Amish community--and those yet to be--as they strive to follow the rules issued to the baptized. VERDICT Engaging characters and a tender story line will please fans of Amish fiction, especially readers of Amy Clipston.
