Faced with the prospect of having three children in college at the same time, Frost and her family decided to bypass the paradigm of higher education in the United States. Through trial and error (and no small amount of boldness), all four of her children received a global education that inspired them to get started on their career passions faster, and less expensively, than their peers on traditional education tracks. This book not only tells the story of how they (and others) did it but also provides a strong argument for approaching education this way. Frost's prose is engaging, and she frequently illustrates her points with the stories of successful young adults in their own voices. She also offers advice for parents who may feel overwhelmed or pressured to conform by their neighbors and families, addressing many of the situations they may find themselves in should they choose to take their children's education in a nontraditional, global direction.Anna Creech, Univ. of Richmond Lib., VA
