Lena Sharpe, a young television segment producer for a morning talk show, has her head in the clouds. Every guy she meets could be the one, and before she and the prospective guy have had an entire conversation, she has envisioned their future life together. But when she is assigned to do a segment on handsome young writer Colin Banks, she is swooning before she even meets him. After a few flirtatious e-mails and a trip to his family home to interview his mother, Lena and Colin meet for dinner. She is smitten, and he seems equally so. But her best friend, Jake, doesn't like Colin at all, and her girlfriends are advising her to be cautious. When she runs into her vindictive boss at a party she is attending with Colin and ends up getting fired, Lena must decide exactly how she is going to stop daydreaming and finally realize her ambitions.
