A few scraps of old paper are found by someone who knows their worth and a great adventure ensues, as a world-renowned archaeologist discovers what could be one of the earliest copies of a biblical manuscript commissioned by Constantine the Great in the third century. If authentic, it will change how scripture is viewed forever, but what if it is just a clever forgery? After the manuscript is stolen, the real adventure begins. Scholar and best-selling author Maier's discourse on the history of Christianity and on aspects of Islam and Christianity is very well done, as is his illustration of serious scholarship and archives research. The dialog, however, is awkward and too often seems odd. Christopher Prince's narration and accents are adequate for the material.--Scott R. DiMarco, Mansfield Univ. of Pennsylvania Lib.
