Tempting Torment

In 1787, Jessa Winter must escape from England to America with her infant, Gideon, and does so by marrying Noah McClellan while he is mortally wounded. When Noah recovers and learns he's married, the tension starts to sizzle as the couple grapple with their feelings of betrayal and attraction while aboard ship for the six-week journey to America. Jill Tanner brings forth the dissension and attraction between Noah and Jessa, all the while juggling plot and dialogue.
