Hellfire Canyon

This campfire story, which takes place after the Civil War, is not a true Western but the story of Jacob Gamble, a survivor and witness. Henry Strozier and Scott Sowers narrate with empathy and strength to make the rich male characters seem full and whole. Strozier's delivery sounds as though he's relating his own story. Gamble admits he's a killer and a thief but claims he was forced by circumstances to become part of the ruthless outlaw gang started by the flamboyant, infamous killer Alf Bolin. Gamble's first-person discourse is interrupted by a no-nonsense reporter who is interviewing him, portrayed by Carol Monda.
