Against the Moon

Texas writer Jane Gilmore Rushing takes the listener back to simpler times in this historical novel about family members coming together to say goodbye to their dying grandmother. On the plains of West Texas, members of the Albright family struggle to come to terms with their grief and make amends for past mistakes. Cynthia Darlow narrates events as seen through the eyes of three Albright females. Darlow is remarkable with her portrayal of the young child Debbie, whose innocent observations of adults show her to be wise beyond her years.
