Gun Man

After Eugene Morner's father dies from a mule kick to the head, the 12-year-old boy joins a freight expedition heading west from Iowa in 1854. An argument with a driver, which ends in a fatal gunshot, seals Eugene's fate as a gunman and drifter. The slow, deliberate voice of Mark Hammer controls the storyline from the first hesitant days of Eugene's life on the run to the travels of the mature, self-confident killer. Each character is portrayed by slight changes in narration. Hammer's husky male voice suits the characters which include few females.
