Paper crafts are often appealing to new crafters since the supplies tend to be commonplace and inexpensive and paper options are abundant. This project-based how-to focuses mainly on crafts featuring paper cutting, with forays into quilling, scrapbooking, and origami. The introduction provides a brief overview of paper crafting supplies and different types of paper, followed by a series of basic- to advanced-basic-level projects designed to teach paper crafting skills. Categories include cards and gift wrap, flowers, decorations, and kids' crafts, and the step-by-step instructions are accompanied by full-color, close-up photographs. Reproducible cutting and tracing templates are provided. VERDICT There's not a lot of depth here, but there's plenty of variety, and visual learners will appreciate this photo-based guide to basic paper crafting.
