AudioFile Magazine
The attack on the Central Park Jogger had a sobering effect on many people in many places. Trisha Meili has decided to tell her story of recovery and make known her identity in a compelling book that is, above all, a story of hope and survival. Meili, as is true of many authors who narrate their own works, reads well but never quite moves over to telling the story rather than reading the book. She's a competent reader, although the reading from the transcript of the trials becomes tedious. Unfortunately, there is nothing to mark the end of each tape side. Contact information on various health care and support organizations mentioned in the book is provided at the end. It would also be helpful to have them listed for reference in the package.
