Red Sky in Mourning

Helen Bradley's second career, as a writer, is just taking off as her second husband is facing retirement from the FBI. When Helen's latest writing assignment turns out to include a murder investigation, she and her husband find themselves working together to stop a string of killings along the rugged coast of the Pacific Northwest. Christine McMurdo-Wallis brings the right blend of feminine emotion and detached analysis into her performance. Her naturally deep voice enables her to deliver the masculine characters convincingly, and the older women with compassion and understanding. During the preachier portions of the story, McMurdo-Wallis clearly portrays the intent of the text, including its judgment on the depravity of anyone who consumes alcohol. R.P.L.
