Turn Right at Machu Picchu

Andrew Garman narrates Adams's account of his endeavor to retrace the steps of Hiram Bingham, the Yale explorer who ÒdiscoveredÓ Machu Picchu in 1911 and made its existence more widely known. Adams sets forth in the highlands of Peru, accompanied by a tough and experienced Australian guide. Garman is fitting as the author, an inexperienced but enthusiastic trekker who seeks to learn all he can about the mysterious Incas and their empire as well as Bingham's personal story.
