Not a quick or easy lesson, this program sneaks up on the listener with its wide range of ideas and practices for changing one's life. The author is a life coach, not a therapist or academic, so the focus is decidedly practical and forward thinking. Depending heavily on self-examination, the exercises are grouped into 30 segments. The organization provides some structure, but without a written guide, listeners will have to scramble to write down the ideas so none will be overlooked. The largely female issues and case studies will make the presentation more familiar to women than men. Men with issues, however, should not pass up this extended lesson by the perky change expert.
