Soul Communication

The Eastern spiritual theme of this book is undermined by the overenunciation of the narrator. Marilyn Smith's pace is so slow that the listener's mind is likely to wander--a response that is counter the message of the book, which is a call to focus on the power of the soul. Further, at times Smith's voice has a childlike quality to it that detracts from the book's profound message. If one can get past the limitations of the narration, this inspiring call to a spiritual path could provide centering for people who do not advocate the institutionalization of divinity. M.R.
