Last Ride to Graceland

With a voice as sweet as Tupelo honey, Cassandra Morris tells the story of a mother, a daughter, a mystery, and the King of Rock and Roll. When Cory discovers an incredible car on her late mother's property, she finds herself making her way through a collection of artifacts that lead her to the final days of Elvis Presley--a man she suspects may be her real father. Morris's voice is youthful and optimistic, making real Cory's decision to drive the car back to Graceland in an unlikely quest. The narrative moves between Cory's point of view and that of Honey, her mother, from years earlier, a structure that can make for confusion now and again. But, overall, this is a great summer listen.
