Grades 7-10 Radfords genre-blending concoction of teen romance, ESP, and the glamorous end of the chick-lit spectrum goes down like a treat, thanks to smooth writing and credible characters. Brit teen Fiona goes to New Jersey to visit her newfound dad, whoenrolls her in a camp to learn how to use her psychic powers. She worries about her new boyfriends trip to Rome, where there seems to be a Hot Italian Babe, and tries to fix the unhappiness she thinks shesees in her fathers family. Though the plotting assures Fiona a fairy-tale happy ending, the ride is fun and some intriguing ethical questions are posed painlessly but compellingly.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2009, American Library Association.)
