101 Kids Activities That Are the Bestest, Funnest Ever!

As moms, Homer and Mitchell, creators of the popular Kids Activities blog, have dealt with the age-old childhood quandary of what to do when the kids are bored and restless. Their creative approach includes craft, sensory exploration, and science projects using household products, recycled materials, and other readily available supplies. The projects offered here range from messy creative fun (paint made with shaving cream, splatter painting with rubber bands and tempera paint) to creative recycling (cute "bangles" made from cut-up water bottles, crayons crafted from empty glue stick tubes and melted broken crayons) to puzzles and games (four square, red light/green light). The exercises are most appropriate for school-age children, but the authors provide adaptations for preschoolers and older children as well.
