Segall, a former Apple ad agency creative director, looks at the way successful companies are streamlining their organization to refocus on core principles. This book, a take on the "think different" campaign Segall helped design for Apple, draws on the ideas from Insanely Simple, the author's previous book on Apple, and investigates how the general methods of simplicity have been adopted by companies worldwide. The title includes case studies from businesses across different industries, including the Container Store, StubHub, Hyundai Card, DirecTV, and the Czechoslovak soft drink company Kofola. VERDICT Recommended for its insights into how great leaders recenter their companies, this title unfortunately too often falls back into being an insider's account of Steve Jobs's impact on NeXT and Apple. Readers seeking a practical approach to bringing clarity into the workplace should try Bill Jensen's Simplicity and Dan Ward's The Simplicity Cycle.--John Rodzvilla, Emerson Coll., Boston
