Grades 6-9 In this latest entry in the Tunnels series, the struggle continues between the few Topsoilers in the knowWill, Elliott, Chester, Drake, and their crewand the Nazi-descended Styx, led by twin sisters Rebecca One and Two, who are determined to reclaim vials containing the deadly Dominion virus and obliterate the (non-Styx) human race. Gordon and Williams move characters and plotlines around like two generals directing a simulated battle. Chapters alternate between various individuals and groups, and knowing the background is essential to keeping up with the jumps.
