K-Gr 3-This set introduces students to some of the national parks in the United States. In each title, full-page, attractive, and clear photographs are accompanied by text that provides information on where the park is located and the date of its establishment. Other information provided includes size, climate, ecosystems, fun activities to do at the park, and a glossary. The Spanish translation is correct, though students might wonder about the choice to use "Grandes Monta�as Humeantes," when leaving the name as the Great Smoky Mountains might be more helpful. VERDICT Not groundbreaking, but appealing enough to consider for school libraries.
