Tractors Go to Work

K-Gr 2-Readers are introduced to six of the farm's hardest-working machines in this series, published in partnership with New Holland Agriculture, an international manufacturer of farming equipment. Divided into four chapters, each volume explains why farms need the specific machine, explores its design and major components, describes its many uses, and discusses its past, present, and future applications. Full-page color photos give readers an intimate view of the machines in action, while the archival images emphasize just how much easier farming is today because of these tools. A graphic of the equipment's parts, a trio of fun facts, a QR code, and a suggested reading list provide interested students with additional resources for information. VERDICT An informative addition to most collections, especially where farming is uncommon.
