Gr 5-8-Soccer fans will rejoice when they read this great, informative series. With a mix of MLS and Champion's League teams, plus the inclusion of the U.S. Women's National Team, each slim volume covers major ground. From the teams' beginnings to their most recent seasons, each volume includes rundowns of big-winning seasons, descriptions of key moments in critical games, a simplified time line, and information about amazing managers and superstar players. Some of the best players in the world are included, like perennial favorites Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Abby Wambach, and David Beckham. The writing is crisp and exciting, yet accessible for younger readers. VERDICT A real winner; this series is a must-buy for most communities.
