I Am a Good Citizen

K-Gr 2-Each title explores a different character trait. The first book focuses on good citizenship and includes a full-page photo of a boy reading a book. The text opposite it reads: "Good citizens are responsible. When I check out library books, I bring them back on time." In Fair, the author tells readers that "Being fair means treating all people the same. I pour the same amount in each glass." The illustration facing it shows two girls serving lemonade. The third book explains, "Being honest means telling the truth. When I tell my mom I broke the glass, I am being honest." The accompanying illustration is of a girl on the floor with a broken glass in front of her.
