Ages 5^-9. In one of her more engaging picture books, Gibbons introduces the bicycle: its history, design, care, types, uses, and safety rules. Short but quite informative, the text is full of solid facts as well as useful tips and interesting tidbits that young children will be pleased to share with the older bicyclists in the family. Large, clear ink drawings with colorful washes and shading illustrate this satisfying book.
