Arriving on the heels of Llama Llama Trick or Treat, this board book has Llama Llama walking children through the ins and outs of the holidays: “Llama Llama Christmastime/ Lights with trees and bells that chime.” Dewdney’s verse is polished and precise, and her paintings exude their typical good cheer as Llama Llama prepares presents, sings carols, bakes cookies, and wonders, “What will Llama Santa bring?” (sadly, readers don’t get a chance to see Dewdney’s version of that character). A warm intro to Christmas for Llama Llama’s youngest fans. Up to age 3.
