But Minsha, Leila's devoted canine, is not allowed to make the trek, and they are sadly separated at the dock. But it's not goodbye for the determined pup-she sneaks aboard another ship! With the help of a human family and a boy named Yusef, Minsha makes it to Ellis Island. However, her new human friends encounter trouble when going through immigration. It's up to Minsha: Leave Ellis Island and go find Leila, or stay and help Yusef. This is the third installment of the historical fiction series and provides details on the early history of immigrating through Ellis Island.
