This New Agelike approach just might fit the spiritual yearnings of boomers (and other generations) as they seek passion and purpose in life. Author of Wild Feminine (2011) and Mothering from Your Center (2013), Kent brings a different perspective as a holistic women's health care provider. Much like Marsha Sinetar's Do What You Love, the Money Will Follow (2011), Kent zeroes in on creativityon what inspires you, in other words. Her first lesson, though, is no doubt the hardest one: viewing measures of success differently than those we're used to (e.g., clean houses and high salaries versus sharing gifts and saving beauty). Once minds have accepted and substituted more holistic goals, her multiple exercises, questions, and client anecdotes pave the way. She introduces us to Kevin, who left college to work as an Alaska fisherman; to Abbie, who must address her finances without giving up a yoga career; and to Seth, who needed to move his professional and personal life forward. She talks about the feminine-masculine alignment in depth, and demonstrates how daily creative practice can awaken energies and new passions. It's a good introduction to a philosophy that's usually easier heard and talked about than read.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2014, American Library Association.)
