Authentic Leadership

As a young man, Bill George changed his abrasive social style and overcame the loss of his mother and his fiancée to eventually find his calling as the thoughtful CEO of a respected medical supply company. An articulate person, he's written an excellent leadership primer, a developmental perspective on the importance of leading with one's own style and within one's own values. Leaders need purpose, values, heart, relationships, and self-discipline to be truly successful, he states, with simple and only occasionally platitudinous language.
