Wicked Business

Humor and supernatural farce, along with a simple plot and action-packed pacing, are the highlights of this series starring Lizzy Tucker, pastry chef for Dazzle's Bakery, and Diesel, an agent for the Board of Unmentionable Marshalls (BUM). Other characters include Carl, a monkey; Anarchy, a mysterious heiress; and Gloria (Glo), the bakery's counter girl, who's also a wizard in training. Lorelei King's narration is fast paced and engaging; she creates unique male and female characterizations with no strain. She reads the funny parts--for example, a spell by Glo that makes Hatchet fart constantly--nonchalantly and with a hint of good humor.
