NYPD undercover cop Julie Excelsior leaves the Big Apple when her beloved Uncle Wes dies and wills her his house. Julie isn't sure what else she's inherited; Wes has clues hidden all around the property. Julie's teenage heartthrob, Cas Reynolds, Excelsior Falls' reluctant sheriff, has more pieces of the puzzle. His wealthy family, continuing a century-old feud with the Excelsiors, didn't like their son dating one of their sworn enemies, so they saw to it that the young couple was separated. But as soon as Cas and Julie see each other again, their chemistry is rekindled. Finally, in true Hatfield and McCoy mode, Cas defies his father, and he and Julie make up for lost time. Meanwhile, the townspeople have caught wind of buried treasure.
