A strong central character enhances Weaver’s predictable but satisfying interracial love story. Web designer Leah Russell has found her way back to the East Coast after living in California for years. Forced to confront her feelings for Sean Andrews, the sexy Scottish lead singer of the country’s hottest band, Leah comes to realize that his friendship has become something more important to her, only she is standing in her own way. ) develops Leah’s character with great care and concern, an effort highlighted by the rather stereotypical supporting cast. While the happy ending is predictable, Leah’s self-discovery makes the novel well worth the read.
