When Lady Roselyn Harrington jilted Sir Spencer Thornton to run off with a stable groom, she had no idea that several years later she would rescue Spencer from the sea and that he would still be seeking revenge. But Spencer's planned seduction/rejection backfires as he and Roselyn are drawn to each other in spite of themselves and ultimately and ironically end up at the altar, where this all began. War, treachery, deception, and court intrigue are all part of this fast-paced, sensual Elizabethan romance. Nicely combining historical personalities with fictional characters, it should appeal to fans who like their historicals true to the period but with a light dash of fun.
