When her best friend, a witch named Marcy, is kidnapped, Jessica and her bonded mate Rourke look for help from the local coven. Instead, they get caught up in a mad flight to New Orleans, following the advice of an oracle to seek assistance from that city's vampires--help that will save the life of Jessica's father, leader of the largest Pack in North America. VERDICT The third installment of Carlson's urban fantasy (Full Blooded; Hot Blooded) deepens the complications Jessica faces as she represents the beginning of change to the supernatural community. Series fans should enjoy Carlson's fresh take on lycanthropy.
