The Best of Texas Folklore Volumes 1 & 2

In a series of tapes produced by Writer's AudioShop in association with the Texas Folklore Society, members focus on all things Texan in speeches and papers delivered at the group's annual meeting. Topics range from folk customs and traditions to grandparenting, Spam, Texas kitsch, horny toads, and more. As with any live production, background sounds are intermittent throughout the presentations, but only add to the warmth and enthusiasm for the state conveyed by speakers. Some speakers are gifted orators, others are less successful, but each offers forth his or her love for the Lone Star state. And each presentation is separated by folk music appropriate to the topic.
