The latest in this series features crochet projects designed for crafters who enjoy the meditative aspects of the technique. The designers incorporate simple colorwork and basic shaping to provide patterns with both a sophisticated look and, as stated in the introduction, to "distract and occupy one's mind." Projects span quick-to-finish small accessories, such as a coffee mug cozy, and larger projects, such as a honeycomb blanket, with the majority landing between the two extremes. The designs are stylish and require beginner-level crochet skills. A basic stitch refresher is provided at the end of the book. VERDICT Many crafters are drawn to the relaxing properties of handwork, and crocheters seeking simple-yet-attractive projects will enjoy this collection.
