To prevent the sale of Amber’s grandfather’s debt-ridden ranch, Cade impulsively tells a potential buyer that he’s moving in with Amber to fix the place up. Yates plops believable characters into awkward situations and constructs a solid family dynamic, complete with secrets, anger, intrigue, and love.
