Watership Down

jo13 - Watership Down Hazel, the lead rabbit that blazed the trails ahead of the other rabbits he was with, looked around the new place that was to be their warren now. The rabbits had finished their adventures coming here from the old warren and now they started to dig burrows in the soft, sandy bank next to a creek and green grass. While the rabbits were digging their new homes a stranger rabbit was seen coming towards them. He said his name was Cowslip and he was there to help the traveler rabbits. He told them that the way they were digging the burrows was not right because the wind would blow through it. Cowslip invited them to come to his warren and live and then he ran back to his burrow because it was starting to rain and he didn’t like to get wet. Hazel and the other rabbits talked about if they should go or not because the other warren might try to kill them. They eventually decided that they should go and they trudged off in the direction that Cowslip had gone. When they got to the new warren they looked around and liked it, but they still felt cautious about these rabbits. Should they stay here or not? Hazel must make the decision soon. Thats in chapter 5
