Voicing Carl Kolchak must be like slipping on a pair of comfortable, old shoes for narrator Johnny Heller. This production marks the fourth time that Heller has inhabited the irascible reporter who keeps stumbling onto weird doings. Here, Heller gets to narrate the wellspring of all things Kolchak, Jeff Rice's original novels, THE NIGHT STALKER and THE NIGHT STRANGLER, back in print for the first time in 30 years. The gruff, profane character tackles both monsters and willful ignorance among public officials and his own employers.
