Father (Brad) and son (Drew) find meaningful common ground despite what some might see as fundamental differences. It's a powerful story of reconciling religion and sexuality made all the more memorable because each half of the conversation is narrated by the actual person involved. The audiobook feels especially authentic due to the balancing of emotions one hears as each principal reads and explains his struggles with the other's decisions or experiences. Their narrations may not be the best--they sometimes stumble through sections--but they capture the earnest desire of both people to make the choice to be a family. Taken together, this dialogue offers important insights and considerations for others who find themselves on similar paths. L.E. © AudioFile 2016, Portland, Maine
