Divorce has become a common word among twenty- and thirtysomethings today. This new generation of divorc es face different challenges and obstacles than those before them. Having gotten divorced in their mid-twenties, Moffett and Toubourg understand what it's like to deal with sudden "singledom" and the feelings of failure that accompany it. In their down-to-earth guide, they help young divorc es tackle both legal and emotional problems in a tone that is by turns chatty and straightforward. Overwhelming issues like mutual photographs, wedding rings, and family, as well as legal console, mediators, and even Internet divorce, are discussed with authority and sensitivity. The authors realize that each person is different and comes out her relationship with a different set of circumstances, so they also provide many personal stories-including their own. Much like Pamela Paul's The Starter Marriage and the Future of America, this book addresses an epidemic in action. Highly recommended for all public libraries.-Alexia Renner, San Luis H.S., AZ
