This collection of 32 inspirational stories is an outpouring of love and kindness ideal for sharing during the holiday season. They cover miraculous things that have happened to ordinary people, for example: One woman forbade her four daughters from sleeping by the Christmas tree, thus saving their lives when a drunken driver smashed through their bay window ("O Christmas Tree" by Jannis Gardner); and the woman who remembered the fried bologna sandwiches her grandmother used to make found a mysterious five-pound package of bologna in her grocery sack sans receipt ("Bologna from Heaven" by Nora Lynn). Most of the tales are not by professional writers but come from women and men who have experienced something serendipitous at Christmastime. Some of these everyday miracles--stories about beloved cats that reappear, a gold-and-ivory lace tablecloth, and mysterious visitors--may stick with readers long after the ornaments are boxed up for yet another year.
